CROP PROGRAMS

Eight crops,
eight phenology tables

Each programme assigns a nutrition layer to every phenological stage. The same product appears in several programmes — what changes is the timing and the rate.

GRAPE

Grape葡萄

From budbreak to veraison, nutrition has to follow phenology. Rain-shelter and open-field growing differ mainly in root activity and calcium partitioning.

GRAPE phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Budbreak – shoot growth Root activation, continued flower-bud differentiation Seaweed biostimulant + high-P
02 Flowering – fruit set Flower quality, fruit set, calcium partitioning to berries Ca-B + amino acids
03 Berry fill – veraison Sugar accumulation, even colour, bloom on the skin Organic K / PK + colour-signal complex
04 Post-harvest – dormancy Replenishing storage reserves in the vine Balanced WSF + organic carbon
  • 01Pushing potassium at veraison while ignoring calcium partitioning — cracking and sunburn follow.
  • 02Excess nitrogen before flowering: shoot vigour competing directly with fruit set.

CITRUS

Citrus柑橘

An evergreen crop: roots stay active almost all year, so timing is set by flushes rather than seasons.

CITRUS phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Spring flush – pre-bloom Flush quality and flowering support Balanced WSF + B / seaweed
02 Petal fall – fruit set Reducing physiological drop Ca-B + amino acids
03 Fruit growth – autumn flush Sizing fruit while feeding the autumn flush High-K + organic K
04 Colour break – harvest Brix and peel colour PK + colour-signal complex
  • 01Treating an evergreen crop as seasonal: root feeding stops exactly when the autumn flush needs it most.
  • 02Applying calcium only as a foliar spray while the soil is dry — uptake is a root process.

TOMATO

Tomato番茄

Yield is decided at flower initiation; quality at the potassium-to-calcium ratio.

TOMATO phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Seedling – transplanting Root establishment after transplanting Root promoter + high-P
02 Flowering – fruit set Truss quality and fruit set Ca-B + B
03 Fruit fill – harvest Size, colour and dry matter High-K + organic K
04 Post-harvest recovery Restoring the plant for the next truss Amino acids + organic carbon
  • 01Chasing size with potassium only: fruit colours unevenly and stores badly.
  • 02Skipping calcium during rapid truss growth — blossom-end rot appears two weeks later.

STRAWBERRY

Strawberry草莓

Shallow-rooted and salt-sensitive: the nursery stage decides the second half of the season.

STRAWBERRY phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Nursery – flower differentiation Flower-bud initiation High-P + seaweed
02 Transplant – establishment Rooting and transplant stress Root promoter + organic carbon
03 Flowering – fruit set Fruit set and firmness Ca-B + B
04 Harvest period Brix, colour and shelf life Organic K + colour-signal complex
  • 01High EC at establishment: shallow roots burn before they reach the drip line.
  • 02Feeding only nitrogen through harvest — fruit softens and sugars plateau.

CUCUMBER

Cucumber黄瓜

A continuously fruiting crop: what matters is rhythm, not any single dose.

CUCUMBER phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Seedling – transplanting Root establishment Root promoter + organic carbon
02 First fruit Balanced vegetative and reproductive growth Balanced WSF
03 Peak harvest Holding size and quality under continuous picking High-K + organic K
04 Low-light / cold spell Photosynthesis and stress tolerance Amino acids + silicon
  • 01Heavy potassium during a cold, low-light spell — plants stall instead of setting fruit.
  • 02Irrigating with a high-EC solution in cold soil: root activity drops before symptoms show.

APPLE

Apple苹果

Bitter pit is not a disease. It is uneven calcium distribution.

APPLE phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Budbreak – bloom Flower quality and fruit set B + seaweed
02 Young fruit Cell division and calcium allocation Ca + B
03 Fruit enlargement Size and sugar accumulation High-K + PK
04 Pre-harvest Colour, firmness and storage quality Organic K + Ca
  • 01One late calcium spray instead of a season-long allocation strategy.
  • 02Excess potassium in the second half competing with magnesium and calcium uptake.

CHERRY

Cherry樱桃

Fifty-odd days from bloom to harvest: there is no second decision.

CHERRY phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Pre-bloom Flower quality and set B + seaweed
02 Petal fall – pit hardening Cell division, reducing drop Ca + high-P
03 Swelling – colour Size, firmness and colour Organic K + Ca
04 Post-harvest Rebuilding reserves for next season Amino acids + organic carbon
  • 01Waiting for visible colour to start potassium — sizing is already finished by then.
  • 02Neglecting post-harvest nutrition: next year's flower buds are initiated now.

WATERMELON

Watermelon西瓜

Brix comes from potassium and carbohydrate supply arriving in step.

WATERMELON phenology
#StageObjectiveDirection
01 Seedling – vine growth Root and vine establishment Balanced + root promoter
02 Flowering – fruit set Fruit set and early cell division Ca-B + B
03 Fruit swelling Size and yield High-K
04 Pre-ripening Brix and flesh quality Organic K + PK
  • 01Nitrogen close to ripening: vine overgrowth, hollow fruit and low brix.
  • 02Cutting water and potassium too early — fruit stops sizing in the final week.
